In the Bible we read in Revelation 5 that they lifted golden bowls
full of fragrance to the throne of God, which are the prayers of
saints.
Mankind is in great distress! Around us we see many who are desperate
and have lost all hope. Many are overtaken by sudden disaster, or
suffer great misfortune; and they cannot escape by themselves.
Then there are marriage or family problems, alcohol and drug problems,
financial problems, violence, famine, persecution, etc.etc.
The world cries out for help! Who is able in this chaotic world to
offer help, relief, support to every person in trouble , wherever he
is, whoever he is and whatever his need is?
The Bible teaches that only the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is
able to do this, "for He is able to do exceeding abundantly above
all that we ask or think" (Ephesians 3:20)
What those people need is someone who will intercede for them, like
Abraham and Moses did. O, how we need eachother and how important it
is that together we draw nigh to our heavenly Father and call
continiously upon Him with one voice.
The Bible teaches that prayer changes the
most impossible situations. Let us not quarrel about religion or other
things, but draw close to God in prayer for this world in need and for
all prayer requests.
