Over 50.000 people have died in religious violence in Nigeria since 1999 when 12 of the 36 states of Nigeria began to institute the Shariah penal code in defiance of the federal constitution. It is a hard time for the Christians at the moment. Please pray for your brothers and sisters in Nigeria.

Helen Berhane (31) from Eritrea was incarcerated in May 2004. She had just released an album of gospel music. She is reported to have been held for some time in a shipping container. She has refused to sign a paper recanting her faith. Please pray for her and for all Christians in Eritrea.
